Second Poster Analysis

The first poster we designed we felt seriously lacked an actual poster feel with very little information to offer and an unclear representation of what the film may entail, despite the fact it was quite an original idea if I might say so myself. (first poster seen right)

So post production and back where we started we put our heads together and came up with a new design. (seen below)

The production of the poster was very easy it simply involved combining an image taken during shooting and another image taken of an old computer not during production. I used the threshold tool on photoshop CS4 which is the effect used on the male, then a black and white filter for the computer where the boys face is. I also added an olive green/ or a piss coloured yellow for the background depending on how you see it. After which I added an mirky overlay. The font used was Inai Matchi, a font which is quite popular at the moment according to our boss. The simple design combined with its ability to imply meaning means that the poster is quite successful.

The poster was used to promote our focus sessions and during the sessions and the time before we were informed that that poster looked fairly professional and it did well to advertise the film.
